TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Gia Goodro, who has danced for the College of Southern Idaho the past two years is headed to Portland State University to continue her dance journey.
"I truly would not have reached the Division 1 level without the incredible opportunities and support I received through CSI's Dance Program," Goodro said. "Being a Golden Girl for the past two years has helped me grow not only as a dancer, but also as a person. From 6 a.m. practices and long rehearsal days to performing at basketball games and competing at USA Nationals, every experience pushed me to become stronger, more confident and more passionate about dance. More than anything, my time at CSI showed me what I'm capable of and inspired me to keep chasing my dreams. I'm so grateful for my coach, teammates, friends and family who supported me along the way."
Goodro was a member of the CSI squad that won the USA Collegiate 2-year College Pom Championship and took second in the 2-year Hiphop Division.
