TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team forced Sheridan College into 37 turnovers en route to a 80-51 victory in the Coca Cola Classic Friday.
The Golden Eagles pressured the Generals all game, led by
Tina Fakahafua and
Guilhermina El-Mir, who finished the game with four steals apiece.
Sheridan had trouble shutting down CSI's
Mechela Barnes, who knocked down five 3-pointers. She finished the game with 21 points, three assists and one steal. Teammate
Felicity Jones led the Golden Eagles on the boards with seven.
In the earlier game, Central Florida defeated Eastern Arizona 69-53.
CSI plays Central Florida Saturday at 6 p.m.
