CSI Men's Cross Country finishes second in the country

FORT DODGE, Iowa - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Cross Country Team posted its highest finish ever Saturday at the NJCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships, running to a second-place finish.
The Golden Eagles finished with 91 points, 26 points behind national champion Iowa Central CC on a very windy and blustery day.
Individually, three Golden Eagles placed in the top 20. Eric Christen led the way for CSI, taking 11th in 25:58.91. Close behind him in 16th was Jalen Anderton in 26:10.76. Riley Reid placed 19th in 26:18.50. The final two scoring runners for the Golden Eagles were Griffin May (22nd in 26:29.43) and Cade Smith (27th 26:42.09).
"This is an incredible group of men," said CSI Head Coach Lindsey Anderson. "They had big goals all season and kept their focus on what they wanted to accomplish. Their hard work paid off and they ran with their hearts today."
