Before CSI: A guard at Millennium High School, Carrick led his team to a state championship his senior year and a league championship his junior season. As a senior, he was named league player of the year as well as MVP of the state championship. That year, he average 19.7 points, 13.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
Outside of high school, Carrick played for the Arizona Magic AAU team.
After injuring his hand early in the season last year at CSI, Carrick received a medical redshirt and will play for the Golden Eagles this season and still have three years of eligibility.
