24 Region Championships
3 National Championships
23 National Top-10 Finishes

Impressive stats for any college rodeo program. Even more incredible when you consider that the College of Southern Idaho team doesn't just compete against other two-year schools. The Golden Eagles compete against the nation's best four-year colleges and universities in their region and at the College National Finals Rodeo, always entering as one of the favorites to win.

Last season saw the CSI women's team win second place in the Rocky Mountain Region for the second year in a row and qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo.  Lacey England won the first go-around in the breakaway roping while Jackie Smith finished 6th in the nation in the same event and Italy Sheehan placed 6th in the barrel racing.  A trio of CSI cowboys qualified for the CNFR as well.  Zack Elliott, who won the regional bull riding title, finished 8th in the nation.  Alex Wright, who was the regional reserve champion bronc rider, won third in a round at the finals. Drew Hummel, the reserve champion tie-down roper in the region, finished in 7th place nationally .

Steven Birnie begins his second year as the CSI Head Rodeo Coach with high expectations of the top-notch returners and a slew of very talented Freshmen.  Along with Coach Brian Tubbs, Steve will look to improve on last year's team and individual results and contend for both regional and national titles.
