The 2006-07 year will mark the 41st year of the College of Southern Idaho intercollegiate athletic program. The College of Southern Idaho fields seven athletic teams, three for men (basketball, baseball, rodeo) and four for women (basketball, volleyball, fast-pitch softball and rodeo). All sports except rodeo compete in the Scenic West Athletic Conference of the NJCAA.
Golden Eagle athletics at the College of Southern Idaho has enjoyed phenomenal success in its first 40 years, winning two national titles in basketball, one national title in baseball, eight national titles in volleyball and three national titles in rodeo.
Additionally, hundreds of Golden Eagle student-athletes have been honored as NJCAA All-Americans and All-Conference selections. Most important is the high graduation rate of the student-athletes.
Intercollegiate athletics is provided in rodeo, baseball, and basketball for men and rodeo, basketball, fast-pitch softball and volleyball for women. These programs are designed for those who participated in high school athletics, and scholarships are available to those who display exceptional talent. All students are welcome to try out for the various teams.
No student shall represent the College of Southern Idaho in any athletic contest unless he or she maintains the following NJCAA academic standards:

Prior to a second season, or sophomore year, enroll in and maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for those 24 or more credit hours.
All athletes must qualify under the definition of an amateur athlete.
