Jerome High School's TJ Surrage signs her letter of intent to play softball at CSI next season.
TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho softball team signed TJ Surrage from Jerome to play for the 2010-2011 season.
Surrage, who has helped the Magic Valley Sooners to two Western B National ASA softball titles as well as several state championships, plays for the Tigers during high school ball.
"We are very excited TJ is going to be an Eagle next season," said CSI head coach Nick Baumert. "She is very talented and we expect her to contribute right away."
In addition to Surrage, the Golden Eagles have inked Fremont High School's Jyl Eckstein and Springville High School's Nikki Brailsford.
Eckstein plays for the Xtreme ASA travel team out of Bountiful, Utah. She is a 5-10 pitcher that also can swing the bat and be a position player.
Brailsford, who plays for the Crush ASA travel team, will play primarily at first base.
"Jyl and Nikki give us even more size than we have this year," Baumert said. "They are both good students and great kids."
