TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho defeated Western Wyoming 25-21, 25-10, 25-13 Friday but more significant, the Golden Eagles helped raise close to $2000 for breast cancer research and the Dig Pink Foundation.
CSI honored former CSI employee and breast cancer survivor Karen Slaugh at the event, presenting her with flowers and thanking her for her support of CSI Athletics.
The Golden Eagles got off to a slow start during the match but ended strong.
Torrey Hulsey finished the match with 7 kills out of just 9 attempts and 2 blocks.
The Golden Eagles resume SWAC play Saturday, hosting North Idaho College at 3 p.m.
