Baseball Camp
Southern Idaho Baseball camp is one of the longest tenured camps in the country. It offers excellent instruction in hitting fundamentals, pitching, fielding, catching, and base running.
Camp instructors are present and past professional players and college coaches that are dedicated to teaching fundamentals. Twenty-three years of great camp experiences have provided our campers with success in high school and college.
Our camp has many advantages because of its great facility and excellent baseball environment. Return campers have a great advantage because of their experience and skills learned previously from their attendance.
CSI Baseball camp is geared toward the 12 - 18 age group. If you have any questions please contact one of the camp coordinators, Skip Walker or Boomer Walker.

Camp Coordinators - Skip Walker and Boomer Walker
Boomer Walker - CSI Head Coach
Former CSI 90-92 and Northeast Louisiana 93-94 shortstop. Played for current LSU Head Coach Smoke Laval and gained valuable experience as an assistant under Smoke in 1995. He has been involved with CSI baseball virtually his whole life, working as an assistant from 1996 to 2004 and head coach since the 2005 season.
Skip Walker - In his 30 years at CSI, he has played a major role in creating one of the top JUCO programs in the country. Winning a National Championship and coaching both Senior and Junior Olympic Teams. He has seen many of these players continue in professional and Major League Baseball. His own teams have produced twelve regional titles and nine World Series appearances, with over 100 of his players going on to play professional baseball.
The Camp Staff Will Include
Jim "Skip" Walker - Hitting instructor. Past hitting coach for both Junior and Senior Olympic Teams. Hitting advisor for the Netherlands Olympic Team.
Boomer Walker - Hitting instructor. A master teacher of fundamentals. Former D1 player and coach for L.S.U.'s head coach Smoke Laval.
Dave Carter - Pitching instructor. Pitching coach for C.S.I. Pitched at C.S.I. and UNLV and played professionaly for Montreal Expo's.
Nate Tebbs - Infield/hitting instructor. Professional player for Boston, Padres, and the Braves.
Shawn Humberger - Infield/hitting instructor. C.S.I. All-American and is currently a very successful head coach for Albertson's College.
Jimmy Horner - Catching/hitting instructor. Coach in Seattle Mariners organization.
John Bridges - Infield/hitting instructor. Head coach at Idaho Falls High School.
Mike Federico - Outfield/hitting instructor. Head coach at Twin Falls High School.
Christian Colonel - Infield/hitting instructor. Former CSI player, presently in AA with the Colorado Rockies.
Kody Kirkland - Infield/hitting instructor. Former CSI player, presently in AAA with the Detroit Tigers.
Nick Aiello - Pitching coach. Played professionally for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, currently pitching coach for Durango High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rick Bauman - Outfield instructor. Head Baseball coach Treasure Valley Community College
Tim Stadelmeir - Catching/hitting instructor. Assistant coach at Twin Falls High School.
Josh Hegstead - Infield/hitting instructor. Assistant coach at Alberton's College.
Extra Sessions:
Early Bird Fielding, Spring Training Hitting, Art of Pitching and Mastery of Catching are designed for the camper who wants additional instruction and participation. These sessions are offered each night of the camp and are limited to a first come basis. They fill up early, so be aware. There is a $40 additional fee for two one-hour sessions.
Cost:
You recieve two and a half days of quality instruction for $250. This includes a Golden Eagle camp shirt and insurance. A $50 deposit must accompany your application. The balance is due before the first session. Cancellations after December 23rd are subject to a $50 charge.
Group Rates:
Six or more campers and return campers get a rate of $225. To recieve a group rate a list of names must be submitted to complete pre-registration. Return campers and\or group rate campers please check appropriate box on application.
Hotel Cost:
Campers are responsible for their own lodging. We have commitments from two hotels which are giving great rates.

When making reservations, please make sure you request the camp rate.
What to Bring:
Campers need to bring their own baseball gear ie. glove, spikes, baseball pants or sweats, cap etc... Catchers need to bring their own catching gear. Campers may bring their own bat
